To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Knott’s Berry Farm, Southern California’s original theme park called on Triotech to create an exciting, fun-for-all-ages, 4D interactive dark ride based on the classic Bear-y Tales story. With a team of experts and a solid track record around the world, Triotech designed the attraction, the scenic theming, and produced the animation and gaming system. The result is a ride in which guests climb aboard vehicles equipped with jelly blasters on a mission to recover stolen boysenberry pies from Crafty Coyote and his mischievous pups. Enhanced with 4D effects and interactivity, the slow-moving dark ride experience travels through whimsical and beautiful environments that reimagine show scenes from the original dark ride.
Triotech has been a great partner for Cedar Fair and Knott’s Berry Farm. When we first worked with them on Wonder Mountain’s Guardian, the guest reaction from what they were able to do on that ride led to an automatic ‘Okay let’s bring it to Knott’s Berry Farm'.

It’s a unique ride that you can experience in many different ways. And if you’re a true gamer, you have to just keep going and getting that high score, so it has repeatability, which was important to us.
For those who can’t enjoy some of the more thrilling attractions at Knott’s, this could be one of the best experiences in the park.
